By the editors · 2 min readApple opens with a crisp, slightly watery fruitiness — more freshening agent than gourmand signal. It fades quickly, giving way to the aromatic heart without lingering.

Lavender, vanilla, and clary sage form the heart — a warm, slightly sweet aromatic trio. The clary sage provides a herbal-nutty character that bridges lavender and vanilla, keeping the heart from reading as purely sweet and preventing the whole composition from collapsing into standard office-wear softness.

Tonka bean, oakmoss, and leather anchor the base with dry, earthy character. The leather is clean rather than aggressive; oakmoss adds a faint chypre coolness; tonka provides sweetness beneath it all. A competent modern fougère that wears better than its origins might suggest — restrained and long-lasting.
