By the editors · 2 min readEpic Woman opens with spice before flower: cinnamon, cumin, and pink pepper form a warm, slightly aggressive entry that prepares you for the seriousness of what follows. The cumin is deliberately present — not hidden — lending a faintly animalic quality that Amouage has long favored in its warmer compositions.
Jasmine and rose in the heart are Amouage's standard core, given room to unfold across an extended middle that doesn't rush toward the base. The cumin from the top still lingers faintly, tying the spice to the floral.
The base deploys oud, frankincense, and amber as architectural materials: the oud provides depth, frankincense smoke, and iris a cooler, powdery resolution. Epic Woman earns its name — fully committed to scale and unapologetic about it.
