Wish Chopard 1997 Eau de Parfum

Wish opens with a soft whisper of pear—not the syrupy orchard variety, but something more delicate and barely there, a pale sweetness that fades almost before you notice it.

By the editors · 2 min readWish opens with a soft whisper of pear—not the syrupy orchard variety, but something more delicate and barely there, a pale sweetness that fades almost before you notice it. The transition into white florals is immediate, magnolia and jasmine layering over each other with osmanthus adding a faint apricot-tinged depth. These aren't sharp or indolic blooms; they're polished, restrained, almost translucent.

The base settles into a plush bed of vanilla, tonka, and amber, given subtle gravity by frankincense that never becomes churchy or austere. It's warm without being cloying, sweet without tipping into gourmand territory. The entire composition feels like it was designed to be easy—undemanding, pleasant, reliably comforting. A gentle, unapologetically feminine scent from the late nineties that still holds its shape today, well-suited to anyone seeking something soft and enveloping without rough edges or risk.
