By the editors · 2 min readCabotine opens with a rush of crisp greenness sharpened by tart blackcurrant and soft stone fruits—plum and peach that feel almost dewy. The effect is immediate and exuberant, like stepping into a garden still wet from rain. Orange blossom hovers at the edges, lending a soapy-clean brightness that keeps the fruit from going syrupy.

As it settles, a generous floral bouquet unfolds—jasmine and tuberose at the center, supported by violet, iris, and heliotrope that add powdery, slightly almond-tinged sweetness. Ginger brings a faint warmth without pushing too far into spice. The whole heart stays sheer and buoyant, never heavy, maintaining that green freshness from the opening.

The base is soft and diffuse: tonka, vanilla, and sandalwood create a cushion of gentle sweetness, while vetiver and cedar keep it from collapsing into pure gourmand territory. Cabotine reads unmistakably early-'90s—optimistic, uncomplicated, built for daylight. It suits someone who wants floral abundance without density, and prefers their fragrance cheerful rather than introspective.
