Kenzo pour Homme Kenzo 1991 Eau de Toilette
Kenzo pour Homme arrived in 1991 as one of the first contemporary takes on what would later be called the aquatic-woody genre — but here the water is only implied, through the transparency of its construction.

By the editors · 2 min readKenzo pour Homme arrived in 1991 as one of the first contemporary takes on what would later be called the aquatic-woody genre — but here the water is only implied, through the transparency of its construction. Lemon, bergamot, and clary sage open with a clean, herbal brightness that has none of the fruit-forward sweetness later aromatics would rely on. The floral heart — jasmine, iris, rose, lily of the valley — is richly botanical but never heavy, peach threading through as a smooth, slightly creamy connector. Moss, sandalwood, and ambergris close with soft, lasting warmth. One of the most quietly influential masculines of its decade.
