Cinnamon, fennel, pink pepper, and cardamom open simultaneously in a dense spice cluster; bergamot provides citric relief while fennel introduces an anisic, slightly medicinal note that distinguishes the opening from straightforward oriental spice.
Incense and leather hold the heart alongside jasmine and rose — a productive tension between smoky darkness and floral sweetness. The four notes resist merging into a single accord, maintaining a dialogue between the dark aromatic register and the classical florals throughout the middle phase.
The base is L'Artisan at its most generous: tonka bean, benzoin, vanilla, heliotrope, and styrax build warm balsamic depth while atlas cedar and ambergris provide structure and lift. Leather persists from heart to base, anchoring the sweetness to something earthier. Long-wearing, complex, and fully realized — one of the more ambitious entries in the series.
