The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 9 accords.

By the editors · 2 min readA rose portrait rendered in soft focus, opening with the faint snap of pink pepper before settling into a powdered, resinous rose heart. The orris lends a pale iris-like blur, while benzoin and olibanum wrap the petals in a gauzy, lightly smoked veil. There's none of the dewy brightness often associated with rose soliflores—this is drier, more composed, almost archival in its restraint.
As it develops, the tonka and vanilla provide gentle cushioning without turning sweet or edible. The rose itself remains at the center, neither fresh-cut nor jammy, but preserved in amber—slightly abstract, wholly elegant. It recalls pressed flowers in an old journal rather than a bouquet on a dining table.
Best suited to those who want rose without theatre, refinement without coldness. A thoughtful choice for cooler months or quiet occasions where presence matters more than projection.
