By the editors · 2 min readBergamot snaps open with a brief citrus flash, then patchouli surges forward, dark and slightly bitter, already laced with the sweet-balsamic pull of tonka. The heart adds ginger heat and a dusting of nutmeg that keeps the coconut from turning tropical; instead the coconut reads like toasted shavings folded into earthy leaves. As the rum and almond rise from the base, the patchouli softens, picking up a creamy, almost boozy latte edge while leather and smoke give the underside a dry, matte texture that reins in the sweetness. Moss and sandalwood lock the dry-down into a cool, brown-wood hum that lingers close to skin for hours. Projection stays within arm’s length; the scent feels best on cool evenings when its spiced-coconut darkness can breathe without cloying.
