By the editors · 2 min readLago opens with lime and bergamot — clean, slightly tart, and unambiguously fresh. Sage in the heart adds an herbal, slightly medicinal quality that gives the composition a bit more character than a straightforward citrus.
Amber and musk in the base provide a warm, soft foundation that extends the fragrance's lifespan and prevents it from vanishing entirely with the top notes. The general note list also names clary sage specifically, which reads as softer and more aromatic than standard sage. The overall composition is a light, clean aromatic-citrus with a warm musky drydown — uncomplicated and pleasant, suited to warm weather and casual situations. Not complex, but well-intentioned.
