By the editors · 2 min readMint, basil and cardamom open with a cool herbal-spicy top, the mint giving lift, the basil adding a peppery green edge, and cardamom warming the corners. The first impression reads aromatic and slightly retro.
Jasmine, bergamot and rose form the heart. The bergamot is unusual mid-pyramid placement but functions like a sustained citrus lift, with the rose and jasmine kept restrained and polite. The middle is gentle and never overpowers the herbal opening.
Sandalwood, vetiver, amber, vanilla and musk close out a warm-soft base. Sandalwood and vanilla provide creamy depth, vetiver adds earth, amber warms. Overall the arc is a clean masculine aromatic-amber-woody in the late-80s lineage — composed, smooth, dependable.
