By the editors · 2 min readCumin and cardamom spark a dry, peppery heat against bergamot’s bright citrus, the trio forming an aromatic ember that crackles for the first hour. Cinnamon and guaiac wood move in together, the spice turning sweet-smoky while the wood adds tarry smoke, all softened by a faint peach fuzz that keeps the heart from scorching. In the slow dry-down, vanilla and tonka pour a creamy, almond-like custard over ambergris’s mineral glow, while frankincense and heliotrope dust the skin with powdered sugar and church-resin ash. Projection stays within arm’s length for 6-8 hours, releasing intermittent incense puffs. Cool autumn nights, a cashmere scarf and outdoor concerts where woodsmoke already hangs in the air.
