By the editors · 2 min readPetitgrain and neroli open with a Mediterranean brightness, sharpened by frankincense's dry resinous quality. Honey adds a faintly animalic sweetness that sits between the citrus and incense without fully belonging to either. Bergamot ties the top together but doesn't outlast the resin.
The base is dense — sandalwood, civet, guaiac wood, ambergris, vetiver, labdanum, and patchouli — a composition that builds depth methodically. Civet and ambergris together push the scent toward the animalic end of the spectrum. Labdanum and patchouli layer in resinous and earthy notes. The result is a structured, complex incense-woody with an unusual honey-resin accord that sets it apart from simpler oud constructions.
