By the editors · 2 min readBirch opens with a raw, tarry edge that frames the Bulgarian rose in a cold, green-smoke register rather than sweetness. Saffron threads a dry, leathery spice through the rose, pulling it away from floral territory and into something almost abrasive. Heart layers of tobacco and suede thicken the texture: the leaf adds a damp, fermented depth while suede muffles the birch tar, creating a muted, vintage-hide accord. In the base, civet lifts the moss and resins with a salty growl that keeps the composition from turning heavy; labdanum and cedar provide a rough, resinous wood platform that lingers close to skin. Projection stays reserved, a cool-weather skin-scent suited to dark wool and low light.
