By the editors · 2 min readRose opens alone with a deep, slightly dusty floral note that sets a serious tone. There's no citrus brightness to lift the start — the rose carries everything itself, reading more dark-velvet than fresh-bud.
Lavender, ambergris, jasmine, smoke, and iris build a layered heart. The smoke note is literal and prominent, weaving through jasmine's indolic warmth and lavender's herbal cool. Ambergris adds salty animalic depth, iris a powdery rooty thread.
Tonka, oakmoss, leather, olibanum, and amber close with a smoky-leathery-resinous drydown. The leather is the loudest voice, blackened and tar-like, with olibanum adding incense and oakmoss bittering the edges. Overall character: a smoky-leather-resin composition with significant weight and animalic depth, suited to cold-weather evening wear and dressier occasions.
