Freesia and jasmine temper the fruit-forward opening somewhat, but this is a fragrance that moves quickly from fruit to its base.
The base is where the concentration earns its keep: ambroxan and ambergris together produce the characteristic warm, almost radioactive skin-glow that made the original CDNI compelling, amplified here by leather and patchouli into something with considerably more body. Cedar holds the structure upright. Long-wearing and projecting — a nighttime, cold-weather fragrance that announces its presence without asking permission.
