By the editors · 2 min readSaffron and cardamom open warm, leathery, and aromatic — the saffron giving a golden, slightly metallic warmth and the cardamom a dry, peppery lift. The entrance is immediately Middle-Eastern in feel.
Olibanum and labdanum build a smoky-resinous heart, with violet and rose threading a soft floral cool through the smoke. The contrast between the dusky resins and the powdery florals is the most evocative phase, dense and incense-tinged. Ambergris and amber settle the drydown into a salty-warm, balsamic glow that holds the smoke close and extends the trail. The character is a rich smoky-amber oriental with a leathery saffron core and a long, resinous finish — projecting and slightly opulent, a slow-burning composition built for cool weather.
