By the editors · 2 min readQuatre Absolu de Nuit pour Femme opens crisp — pink pepper and bergamot, sharper than warm — and gets to its subject quickly. The early minutes are angular; the perfume is not auditioning for a fruity-floral.
The heart pairs tonka with a watery pear and a clean jasmine. The pear keeps the tonka from going hay-heavy, and the jasmine smooths the seam between top and base without taking center stage. The composition is more about texture than narrative.
The dry-down is where it relaxes: amberwood, sandalwood, and vanilla settle into a soft, slightly creamy warm woody base. It is not a powerhouse — projection is moderate, the wear is even — and it reads modern, cleaner than the older Boucheron family, suited to evenings that don't require a statement.
