By the editors · 2 min readBlack currant opens with a sharp, almost electric tart-berry brightness that softens quickly as freesia and iris take over in the heart. Freesia is light and slightly grassy-floral; iris adds its characteristic chalky-powdery root quality; rose provides classical floral warmth. Tonka and vanilla in the base are warm and sweet, rounding the whole construction into a powdery-soft dry-down. Flower of Immortality is a clean, wearable iris-centered floral — less overtly challenging than some Kilian releases, more focused on being beautiful in a straightforward way. The black currant opening is the one element that keeps it from being generic.
