By the editors · 2 min readck-free opens with a jolt of star anise, cool and medicinal, before spiraling into something darker and more ambiguous. The heart layers coffee and tobacco against the tactile feel of suede, creating an almost leathery dryness that never quite settles into warmth. There's an edge here, a hint of bitterness that keeps sweetness at bay.

As it develops, Virginia cedar and patchouli anchor the composition with an earthy, almost shadowy presence. The coffee note lingers without turning gourmand, more roasted bean than latte. The suede impression persists, giving the fragrance a matte, modern texture.

This is Calvin Klein in a restless mood—urban, slightly nocturnal, appealing to someone who wants presence without polish. It wears close and brooding, best suited to cooler weather and those who prefer their scents a touch unfinished.
