The pear is crisp rather than candied, the peony transparent rather than dewy. It reads as a sketch of a perfume rather than a fully drawn composition, and that's deliberate — summer flankers in this franchise are meant to be wearable wallpaper.
It sits close to the skin within twenty minutes, which is fine for the season. Daytime, casual, hot weather, anywhere a stronger fragrance would feel out of place.
