By the editors · 2 min readPear opens with a gentle, ripe fruitiness — soft and slightly watery, without sharpness or acidic edge. It is a restrained opening that sets an expectation of clean simplicity.
Cedar is the single base note, providing a dry, woody foundation with mild pencil-shaving and light resin qualities. The pairing of juicy pear with dry cedar is a minimalist choice — fruit over wood, no sweetener to bridge them. Whether this reads as refreshingly spare or incomplete depends on preferences for restraint. The absence of musk, resin, or vanilla means there's nothing to extend the composition; longevity will depend almost entirely on concentration. A simple, potentially quite short-lived composition.
