By the editors · 2 min readSaffron opens the scent with a dry, papery spice that quickly pulls the bergamotot’s bright oil into a muted, dusty register. Nutmeg adds a warm, grated-wood facet, so the top feels like cracked leather still carrying workshop grit. In the heart, oud arrives not as medicinal smoke but as seasoned woodchip, its sour edge softened by rosewater-steeped petals and styrax’s honeyed benzoin glaze. The base layers frankincense and guaiac into a slow-burning ember, while amber and patchpatchouli spread a dark, chewy resin that clings to cedar boards. On skin, the leather re-emerges after ninety minutes, now waxed and supple, riding a continuous incense plume. Projection stays within arm’s length, making it office-tolerant yet convincingly autumn-weight.
