The heart is densely populated — gardenia, lavender, neroli, jasmine, heliotrope, orange blossom and rose all trade places, with heliotrope adding an almond-vanilla powder underneath. It reads as a bouquet rather than a single voice. The base is where the perfume settles into its real character: oakmoss and labdanum lay down a chypre-leaning floor, leather and patchouli give it spine, and benzoin, amber and honey sweeten the edges without turning gourmand. A dry musk closes the long drydown.
Decidedly not minimalist. A serious, full-skirted perfume for cool evenings and formal rooms.
