Commodity Gold is a study in density — amber, vanilla, and benzoin appearing at every layer, built upward and outward from a single golden core.
The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 13 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readCommodity Gold is a study in density — amber, vanilla, and benzoin appearing at every layer, built upward and outward from a single golden core. The opening has texture: Iso E Super contributes a woody, slightly metallic transparency while saffron and bergamot add warmth and lift. Oakmoss in the top tier is unusual positioning but adds immediate depth.
The heart sustains the amber-benzoin accord, and the base expands it further: tonka, vanilla, patchouli, and nutmeg layering sweetness and spice into a rich, unhurried drydown. A slow fragrance, designed to be worn close and experienced over hours rather than announced. More complex than Commodity's minimal aesthetic might suggest.
