By the editors · 2 min readThe opening bursts with tart apple and citrus brightness, then quickly shifts into something darker and more austere. Birch tar brings a leathery, almost asphalt-like smokiness that dominates the heart, while clove adds a spiced warmth that keeps the composition from feeling purely industrial. The apple never quite disappears—it lingers as a fruited sweetness beneath the smoke.
As it settles, cedarwood and patchouli ground the composition in classic masculine territory, while iris lends a subtle powdery refinement. The overall effect is polarizing: part boardroom confidence, part rugged outdoorsman, with an apple note that some find incongruous and others consider the signature that makes it memorable.
This wears best in cooler weather on someone comfortable with bold projection. The longevity is substantial, and the sillage announces presence without asking permission.
