By the editors · 2 min readSaffron opens with a dry, papery spice that quickly folds into the heart’s incense accord, releasing a cool, resinous smoke that carries hints of birch-tar leather. The leather here is matte rather than glossy, pressed flat by a steady ribbon of cade-heavy smoke that dominates the mid-stage and muffles any sweetness. As the incense settles, the composition stays linear: no oud wood, no ambered glow, just the continuous smolder of tanned hide over ashy cinders. Projection remains close, radiating only a forearm’s length for about five hours before collapsing into a skin-bound ember. Cool evenings and casual fall dinners fit its restrained, monochrome leather-smoke profile.
