By the editors · 2 min readGrapefruit and bergamot open bright and accessible, with cardamom adding a faint spice that elevates the opening above a standard citrus freshie. It moves quickly — within the first half hour the star anise and violet of the heart settle in, lending an almost licorice-tinged floralcy that distinguishes this from its more generic contemporaries.

Nutmeg threads through the heart, adding dry warmth without becoming the dominant note. The base of sandalwood, amber, and patchouli is warmer than expected for a fragrance marketed alongside sporty masculines of the mid-2000s — richer, more orientaloid, with genuine staying power.

A competent and underrated fragrance for what it is. Not challenging, but honest about what it's offering.
