By the editors · 2 min readGrapefruit hits first, sharp and tart, then clary sage steps over it almost immediately — herbal, slightly sweaty, faintly tobacco-like. The combination is more aromatic than citrus, despite what the name promises.
Lavender and jasmine work the heart, with lavender doing most of the structural job. Jasmine softens the lavender's medicinal edge and adds a thin floral haze that doesn't dominate.
The base is clean and slightly old-school: oakmoss for that mineral-green floor, musk for skin closeness, sandalwood for warmth. It dries down quieter and more aromatic-fougère than the original Cool Water lineage; less marine, more barbershop. Best in warm weather, daytime, casual or office.
