By the editors · 2 min readLeather dominates from the first spray, a matte black hide scent that carries the dry rasp of styrax and the honeyed lift of benzoin. Virginia cedar arrives quickly, its pencil-shaving woodiness cutting through the tannic leather to keep the accord from turning syrupy. Violet slips in underneath, lending a cool, talcum-like powder that softens the cedar’s splinters and lets the leather bend rather than crack. As the heart settles, amber warms the composition, turning the earlier stark contrast into a seamless blur of resinous wood and suede. The dry-down stays close to skin, a quiet fusion of sweet benzoin and musky leather with only a faint trace of cedar smoke. Projection remains reserved, perfect for office days or cool spring evenings when you want presence without announcement. Lasts about six hours before fading to a skin-scent whisper.
