By the editors · 2 min readMidnight Poison Extrait strips the original Midnight Poison EDP down to its concentrated core. Rose opens with cool, almost medicinal precision — this is rose as architectural element rather than bouquet. Patchouli enters in the heart and does the structural work: earthy, dark, and persistent without the hippie associations the material sometimes carries.
The base is richly resinous — French labdanum contributing a sticky amber depth, tonka bean and vanilla adding vanillic warmth that softens the patchouli's austerity. The Extrait concentration makes this wear very close to the skin with significant longevity but little projection. It announces itself only to those already near. An evening or cold-weather fragrance, best worn by someone who understands the difference between restraint and quietness.
