By the editors · 2 min readThe name is a dare to dismiss it. Floral Marshmallow doesn't pretend to be something it isn't: neroli and bergamot open bright and citrusy before orris, jasmine, and orange blossom deliver a soft, powdery heart — iris root contributing its cool-powder character, orange blossom lending creamy warmth. Amber and vanilla in the base justify the marshmallow of the name: sweet, pillowy, intentionally cozy. Dossier's proposition — inspired alternatives at a fraction of the cost — works particularly well here, where the composition is transparent enough to appreciate without decoding. What results is a wearable, honest soft floral for everyday comfort. Exactly what it says on the label, exactly well enough.
