By the editors · 2 min readThe opening is a citrus-aromatic blitz: rosemary, basil, star anise, thyme, peach and black currant ride bergamot, orange and lemon. The result reads more like a kitchen garden in summer than a single fragrance, with herbal sharpness leading.
The heart is a maximalist white-and-yellow floral bouquet — tuberose, gardenia, jasmine, ylang-ylang and magnolia layered with iris, violet, mimosa and freesia, dusted with cinnamon and nutmeg. The cinnamon and galbanum lend a warm-spicy and green spine, and aldehydes give a soapy lift.
The base of oakmoss, leather, civet, castoreum, vetiver, labdanum, amber and vanilla closes things deep and animalic. Overall character is a baroque chypre-floral with leather-civet animalic warmth.
