By the editors · 2 min readApple opens crisp and slightly tart, almost cider-like, with rosemary cutting across it in a sharp herbal streak. Pink pepper crackles overhead, lifting the fruit into something more aromatic than sweet.
The heart pivots quickly to Bulgarian rose — fully bloomed, jammy, with clove driving warmth into the petals. The rose feels solid and serious rather than coy, and the spice keeps it from going syrupy. Underneath, the base is a dense, dark earth: cypriol's smoky woody root, patchouli and labdanum stacked behind it, ambroxan radiating warmth. The composition gains weight as it dries down, becoming almost mineral in texture, with a leathery resin edge that persists for hours.
The drydown is smoky cypriol-amber under a still-glowing rose. Brooding and architectural.
