By the editors · 2 min readCumin and pink pepper crackle over rosewood, the trio creating a hot, dry spice that feels like splinters of red cedar catching sunlight. The cumin’s oily sweatiness lingers into the heart where a single clove pod smoulders, sweetening the wood and turning the spice darker, almost tarry. Mysore sandalwood arrives early in the base, creamy and buttery, cushioning the clove’s bite while civet lifts the accord with a musky, almost urinous glow that never shouts into full skank. Labdanum adds a leathery, incense-smoked amber that clings to skin and clothes alike, stretching the sandalwood into a suede-soft dry-down that lasts overnight. Projection stays within arm’s length; the scent thrives in cool evenings and pairs with dark denim or wool.
