By the editors · 2 min readTulipe Rouge opens with clean jasmine—not sweet, but clear and slightly green-edged. Heliotrope and iris form the heart, contributing a powdery, almost makeup-like quality; the iris lends a cool, rooty depth that anchors the heliotrope's softer almond-powder character without competing with it.
Patchouli in the base gives the powder some earthiness and prevents the composition from feeling overly cosmetic or old-fashioned. Musk completes the finish. This is a quietly elegant iris-powder construction, restrained in projection and suited to cooler contexts. It develops little drama but maintains good coherence throughout its modest arc.
