By the editors · 2 min readA jam-like opening of raspberry and strawberry collides with a soft violet, sticky and slightly powdered from the first moments. The fruit reads cooked rather than fresh, leaning toward syrup.
A suede-soft leather emerges in the heart, smoothed by rose and the continuing violet, while opoponax and benzoin pour resinous warmth around the fruit. The combination feels lipsticky and old-perfume, in the boudoir mode.
Tonka and sandalwood round the base into a powdered amber finish that keeps the fruit and leather married. Overall this is a sweet fruity-leather amber with strong powdery character, distinctive and slow-developing, best in cool weather close-up.
