By the editors · 2 min readAn almost-clean cologne built around a tight three-stage progression: lime, bergamot and clary sage at the top read crisp and slightly herbal, the kind of opening that wears like cold water on a warm morning. Petitgrain and a small jasmine note carry the middle.
The base is the unusual move — ambergris and Virginia cedar where most aromatic colognes would push moss or leather. The result is a softer, drier finish than the opening promises, with musk smoothing the cedar's woody bite. It's a linear fragrance: what you smell in the first hour is essentially what you smell in the last. That makes it a good short-distance work scent rather than something with arc.
