The base is where the fragrance shows its hand. Civet and castoreum bring a strong animalic warmth, sticky and slightly fecal, while sandalwood, tonka, and vanilla soften the edges with a creamy balsamic underline. Patchouli adds an earthy darkness.
Musk seals the drydown into a sensual skin-scent with strong animalic projection. The whole thing reads as a deliberately animalic floral, lasting long, projecting at moderate range, and built for cool-weather evenings — provocative rather than pretty.
