By the editors · 2 min readGentleman Society is a modern aromatic fougère that trusts its green register. Sage and cardamom open together with clarity — the sage is dry and slightly mentholated, the cardamom bringing warmth and a citric edge. Clary sage in the general accord softens this into something less abrasive; narcissus enters quietly, cool and faintly rubbery-floral, adding complexity without disrupting the composition's composure.
Cedar in the base is dry and clean, and vanilla keeps the drydown from going purely woody, adding skin-warmth without sweetening it into something else. Vetiver provides depth and faint earthiness throughout. The overall result is polished and contemporary — the Givenchy gentleman rendered as measured and confident rather than bombastic. Best when you want something that reads considered without announcing that it's trying.
