By the editors · 2 min readA focused rose flanker that reaches back to a more classical structure than its parent. Cardamom, galbanum, and bergamot carve a green-spiced opening — almost crisp, with the galbanum doing the work of cooling the cardamom's dry heat.
The heart is a single rose, prominent enough to carry the composition without supporting florals. The base does the heavy lifting: sandalwood, oakmoss, rosewood, vanilla, and musk give the rose a chypre-leaning bed, slightly powdered, slightly creamy, with oakmoss anchoring it to an older perfumery vocabulary. The result wears formal and contained — a rose for cool evenings rather than summer afternoons.
