By the editors · 2 min readA powdery floral that wears like a cashmere shawl. Apple and almond open it with petitgrain's bittersweet citrus — a strange opening on paper that reads warmer in practice, almond pulling everything toward the powdery direction the perfume will eventually settle into.
The heart is wide and soft: orris, magnolia, jasmine, plum, iris, violet and rose layered without any single voice taking over. The combination of orris and violet with the almond top reads distinctly powdered — face-powder and old letters more than floral perfume.
The base of benzoin, amber, vanilla, peach and cedar is creamy and warm. Cool weather, low light, quiet rooms.
