By the editors · 2 min readRum dominates the opening, boozy and dark with a sun-dried peach that feels slightly syrupy rather than juicy. Peach folds into orange blossom, creating a fuzzy, lactonic glow that blunts the spirit’s edge. Jasmine and heliotrope arrive together, the latter’s marzipan facet amplifying the fruit while cedar keeps the heart from sagging into dessert. In the base, tonka and vanilla ride a wave of benzoin-labdanum, producing a soft amber that drinks up the remaining fruit and then dries to a skin-buttery sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli adding quiet tobacco-like shadows. Projection stays within arm’s length for six hours, then settles to a warm, musky trail that works best under sweaters on cool autumn nights.
