By the editors · 2 min readJean-Paul Guerlain opens this Aqua Allegoria with a warm spiced-citrus accord: orange and jasmine provide brightness, pink pepper adding its characteristic dry prickle. The heart transitions into a distinctly springtime floral: lilac — green, slightly humid, the scent of a bush after rain — paired with angelica's earthy-celery root quality and ylang-ylang's creamy richness. It's an unusual combination that holds together well. Heliotrope in the base adds a marzipan-like sweetness that merges with cedar's clean dryness into a gentle, powdery close. A bright, well-structured addition to the Allegoria canon — lighter than many entries in the line, and the better for it.
