Weighted by intensity across 12 accords.

Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readGuerlain Homme Intense takes the clean mint-vetiver framework of its predecessor and digs substantially deeper. Mint arrives first, cool and direct, briefly accompanied by lime and bergamot before the rum appears — and it's this note that defines the fragrance's identity. The rum isn't sweet or gourmand here; it reads more dry and alcoholic, creating an unusual dialogue with the mint's coolness: simultaneously warming and refreshing. Vetiver, patchouli, and cedar in the base pull everything toward earthy, rooty territory, extending the composition into something darker than it initially suggests. An acquired taste — this fragrance rewards patience and an interest in the unexpected.
