By the editors · 2 min readMon Guerlain Sensuelle takes the lavender-vanilla axis of the original Mon Guerlain and deepens it substantially. Lavender opens against bergamot, quickly familiar, but the heart reveals the shift: jasmine sambac alongside iris and rose creates a more opulent floral register, less airy than the parent's softer composition. The base is where Sensuelle earns its name — Tahitian vanilla, tonka bean, benzoin, and a thread of licorice building a warm resinous foundation extended by Australian sandalwood and patchouli. It wears closer to an oriental than a floral, with the sillage and longevity to match. Evening and colder months are where it operates best.
