By the editors · 2 min readThe opening is rose — direct and dense, with a richness that suggests concentration rather than transparency. There is something almost edible about it, the tonka and vanilla beginning to assert themselves early, lending a soft sweetness beneath the petals.
In development, patchouli and sandalwood deepen the base considerably, giving the floral a dark, earthy foundation. The vanilla rounds edges rather than dominates, and tonka adds a faint almond-like warmth that meshes with the rose.
The result is an opulent floral oriental — rose at the centre, encased in warm wood and resin. It stays close and intimate, suited to cold evenings where density is welcome.
