By the editors · 2 min readGrapefruit opens with mild citrus tartness before being absorbed quickly by the heart. Cedar and vetiver take over — dry, slightly smoky, with vetiver's earthy grassiness sitting beneath cedar's pencil-shaving sharpness.
Labdanum and patchouli enter the base together, deepening the earthy quality with resinous warmth. Vanilla prevents the composition from going too austere, softening the labdanum's leathery edge without turning sweet.
The result is an earthy, woody masculine that leans dark and slightly resinous. Patchouli is present but restrained enough not to overwhelm. It carries itself best in cooler weather, where its depth reads as grounding rather than heavy.
