By the editors · 2 min readGrapefruit and bergamot open with a bright, clean citrus freshness. Rosemary appears in the heart as the sole aromatic note, contributing a herbal, slightly medicinal sharpness that keeps the composition from reading as simply fresh-clean.
Oakmoss and musk close the composition. Oakmoss introduces a classic mossy-chypre quality in the base — earthy, green, and slightly damp — that gives Marra a vintage character despite its otherwise sparse construction. The musk blends with the moss to form a clean-earthy drydown.
Marra is a lean citrus-aromatic with a chypre base. The oakmoss is the most characterful element, giving a classical feel to a minimalist structure. Three phases, one note each — the rosemary-oakmoss pairing lands cleanly.
