The heart is the most interesting stretch: cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg layered into something close to chai, warm but not sweet, kept dry by the basil still hanging around. It reads spiced rather than gourmand.
Sandalwood, musk and vetiver close it out — creamy in the wood, soft in the musk, a little earthy underneath. The result is competent and contemporary, leaning casual-office, with more interior dimension than the original it replaces.
