The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 7 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readA flanker built around a single image — cactus flower as the central conceit, sharp-green and faintly aqueous, sketched over rose. The opening reads brittle and cool, more architectural than pretty, and the rose underneath is dialed toward dry petal rather than jam.
The drydown collapses to cedar, plain and clean, holding the floral on a thin woody plank. There is very little narrative arc; this is a closed loop of three ideas pressed against each other.
The result feels deliberately spare — a scaled-back take on the original Ma Vie aimed at someone who wants the woody-rose silhouette without the sweetness or weight that usually accompanies it.
